CBD for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Cannabinoids, especially CBD and THC, are being explored as add-on treatments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Early studies seem to show benefits for behavior, anxiety, sleep, and communication, but the evidence is still limited and not strong enough for routine use. Most data come from small, open-label or observational studies and caregiver surveys, and major medical organizations have not issued formal recommendations for cannabinoids in ASD because high-quality randomized trials are still scarce.
